Effizienzsteigerung der Sammelsysteme für die bürgernahe Abfallerfassung

Im Rahmen des EFRE.NRW-Forschungsprojektes „Find it – Use it“ befasst sich das Zentrum für Recyclingtechnik der Westfälischen Hochschule mit der Effizienzsteigerung der bürgernahen Sammelsysteme. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Bottroper Entsorgung und Stadtreinigung AöR wurde in drei Versuchsgebieten in der Stadt Bottrop unter realen Bedingungen eine technische Weiterentwicklung der analogen Siedlungsabfallsammlung unter Anwendung von digitalen Bausteinen in den Monaten April bis Juni 2018 vorgenommen. In Kombination mit einem Sack-im-Behälter-Sammelsystem wurde eine bedarfsgerechte Abholung von Siedlungsabfällen praktiziert. Die Vollmeldung erfolgte durch die Bewohner der rund 600 Versuchshaushalte über die Kommunikationsmittel E-Mail, WhatsApp, App und Telefon. Neben der Umstellung des Sammelsystems wurde bei Mehrfamilienhäusern in den Versuchsgebieten eine sensorgestützte Identifikationseinheit für Siedlungsabfälle getestet, die eine qualitative Bewertung des Trennvorgangs ermöglicht. Ziel des Forschungsprojektes ist die Effizienzsteigerung der bürgernahen Sammelsysteme bezugnehmend auf die Sortenreinheit und Erfassungsmengen.

Within the framework of the EFRE.NRW research project „Find it – Use it“, the Centre for Recycling Technology at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences is concerned with increasing the efficiency of collection systems close to the citizens. In close cooperation with Bottroper Entsorgung und Stadtreinigung AöR, a technical further development of the analogue municipal waste collection using digital modules was carried out in three test areas in the city of Bottrop and under real conditions from April to June 2018. In combination with a sack-in-bin collection system, a demand-oriented collection of municipal waste was practiced. In addition to the conversion of the collection system, a sensor-supported identification unit for municipal waste was tested in multi-family houses in the test areas, which enables a qualitative evaluation of the separation process. The aim of the research project is to increase the efficiency of the collection systems close to the citizens with regard to the purity of the types and the quantities collected.
