Ergebnisbericht

Im Anschluss an das 13. Bad Hersfelder Biomasseforum fand am 22. November 2019 das Biotonnen-Barcamp, eine Fachveranstaltung zur Öffentlichkeitsarbeit für die Biotonne in Deutschland statt. Organisiert wurde die Veranstaltung vom Projektbüro Aktion Biotonne Deutschland in Kooperation mit dem Witzenhausen-Institut und dem Öko-Institut, finanziert wurde sie durch Bundesumweltministerium und Umweltbundesamt. Eines der zentralen Ergebnisse des Barcamps war die Erkenntnis, dass die Abfallberatung und Kommunikation zur Biotonne deutlich aufgewertet werden muss. Dies unterstrich auch Dr. Regina Dube, Abteilungsleiterin Wasserwirtschaft und Ressourcenschutz im Bundesumweltministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz und nukleare Sicherheit in ihrem Eröffnungsvortrag. Welche Erkenntnisse darüber hinaus geschlossen werden konnten, zeigt der folgende Ergebnisbericht zum Biotonnen-Barcamp, der jetzt veröffentlicht wurde.

Following the 13^th Bad Hersfeld Biomass Forum on November 22^nd in 2019, a specialised barcamp took place focussing on the public communications sector of the organic waste bin in Germany. The event was organized by the project office of the initiative Aktion Biotonne Deutschland in cooperation with the Witzenhausen Institute and the Institute for Applied Ecology, and was financed by the Federal Ministry for the Environment and the German Environment Agency. One of the central results of the barcamp was the realization that waste disposal consultancy and public communications about the organic waste bin must be significantly upgraded. This also was underlined by Dr. Regina Dube, Head of Water Management and Resource Conservation at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety in her opening lecture. The following report of the results of the organic waste bin barcamp, which has now been published, shows what further conclusions could be drawn.
