Postmoderne Stile

This article develops two possible stylistic forms of the postmodern movement, both of which relate to the changing concept of authorship. The postmodern stylisation of the author places the author as a person in the centre of the texts and also includes elements of performance, whereas the strategic imitation of discourse reacts to Foucault's programmatic declaration regarding the "death of the author". These variants of the postmodern style are described with reference to both the texts and actions of Rainald Goetz and Benjamin von Stuckrad-Barre and texts by Elfriede Jelinek and Thomas Meinecke.
