Konfigurationen des Weges in der Christophorus-Legende

Der Beitrag arbeitet die Wegsemantik der mittelalterlichen Christophoruserzählungen im Spannungsfeld von peregrinatio und âventiure heraus. Legendenfassungen und Verserzählungen entwerfen hier ganz unterschiedliche Modellierungen des Weges als Erzähl- und Erkennntismodell. Vor allem die Fassung A nutzt in besonderer Weise die Wegsemantik, um die Interferenz zweier konkurrierender Orientierungsmuster zu profilieren.

This article examines the semantics of the journey in medieval tales of St Christopher in the context of the concepts peregrinatio and âventiure. Different versions of the legends and narrative poems employ very different concepts of the journey as narrative and epistemological models. In particular, version A uses the semantics of the journey in a special way, to profile the interference of two competing patterns of orientation.
