Analysing Older English

The present book was intended to mark the retirement of Richard Hogg in 2009. Sadly, Hogg died in 2007 and the book has become a tribute. The General Introduction relates Hogg’s intellectual worldview to the contents of the volume, which features scholars and methods from various fields, quantitative and qualitative analyses, and studies of standard and non-standard Englishes, all reflecting Hogg’s interests.
